Pushing himself up to his hands and knees, Savin wrenched his eyes shut for a few seconds to allow a sense of vertigo to pass. The last thing he remembered was walking towards the replicator and order a pot of tea. He liked to have things available when he had appointments, and one of the things was a pot of tea and some snacks when he had patients to see.

Opening his eyes again, he took a few deep breaths only to find that the air seemed a little thin. His eyes traveled towards the indicator above the door, but insofar he could tell, there was no red alert activated. Either that, or there was a red alert but the indicator had somehow shorted out. Using a nearby table, he pushed himself up to his feet and took a few unsteady steps towards his desk.

The computer screen was offline, which was odd as it was always online. Turning, he saw the replicator was dark too and now that he became more aware of his surroundings, he realised the lights too were in a far lower brightness than he felt comfortable with. He didn't like complete darkness, for more reasons than the most obvious one.

"Computer, increase illumination." Nothing. "Savin to Bridge," he tried, tapping his commbadge. Silence, as his PADD gave no response to read. Knowing she had an emergency kit in his office, he retrieved a torch from it and activated it, attaching a phaser to his belt just in case. He also took out the tricorder and took slow steps around his office. He grimaced as he was facing the light in one direction, but forgot about the side table on the other side when he took a few steps towards the door.

Of course, the door remained closed, since there was little to no power. He regulated his breathing, so he wouldn't consume too much oxygen as he opened a panel next to the door to manually overrides the mechanism. It still took considerable effort to push the door aside just enough so he could slip through.

Now, he would have to find his way to the bridge, or anyone he encountered along the way, and hope for the best.
