“This is the same guy as the one we found in the phaser control room right? Or am I going crazy here? I thought you took him to the brig?” Finnley spit fired questions at Kevan, confused as to how the Bolian had ended up here in sickbay. When they had caught him in the phaser control room he was planting some sort of device. Was he trying to do the same here? If not, then what was he up to? Her mind was racing with questions and concerns.
Doctor Reed walked out of his office after having poured himself a drink. He looked around at the damage done by this blue-skinned devil and leveled his phaser at the man on the floor. "He doesn't seem too worse for wear. A shame..." He stared at the man with a look of disgust. The Bolian could have easily killed several people under his care, let alone the attractive engineer that had been helping him earlier.
"It can't be the same guy... Lt P'rel had him in custody. Malone dropped him off not an hour ago." Kevan shook his head. "Clone, maybe? Twin? Do we know if Bolians actually have twins?"
Reed wiggled his phaser faintly as he replied, "Bolians may look alike but their fertilized eggs don't divide, at least to my knowledge. He sighed a moment and added, "Though, it's not out of the realm of possibility. Does this man look identical to the other guy?"
“He looks pretty identical to me, though I was more focused on disabling that device. What do you think?” Finnley looked at Kevan. He had gotten a better look at the blue intruder than she had when they were in the phaser control room.
"Same height, and build. Looks like he could be a twin, for sure..." Kevan nodded. "Did we take a scan of the other one? Could compare bio data, right doc?" He looked at Reed for a response.
"Yeah, we'll have to do a comparison for sure. I recommend a complete biological lab analysis. It'll determine if they're related, or actually twins... or maybe clones?" He glanced back at the other two with the last possibility with his eyebrows raised.
“I guess it’s possible,” Finnley shrugged. “But that’s outside of my expertise. That computer core, however, looks like it was damaged again,” she said, nodding in the direction of the wall display that had started to flicker again. “I assume you guys don’t need anything from me for this biological analysis thing?”
Reed glanced at the phaser blasts in the wall and one in particular that hit the wall display. He let out a sigh and said, "Yeah, I guess you can see to that since the shooting has stopped." He turned back to Lt. Dash. "Should we possibly get a few more security personnel down here to keep an eye on our new friend?"
"He's out of it," Kevan shrugged, nudging the unconscious Bolian. "I'll give Lt P'rel a call, see what shakes loose on her end. Anyone heard from Lt Sar in the last hour or two?"
“I haven’t, where was she last?” Finnley replied, making her way back to the panel she was previously making repairs in. She stopped, turned, and looked at the Bolian before starting the repairs. “Why do you think they’d want a clone of him? If he is a clone that is.”
Reed waved over a few support personnel that had come out of hiding and together they grabbed the assailant and plopped him on the main diagnostic bed in the center of the room. He then walked over to a panel and tapped a key into it, activating the bed shield restraint. "There, that's better." He walked back over and and let out a sigh. "If he's a clone, the reason why is definitely above my pay grade. However, I'll begin my analysis immediately."
"Great. I'll try and find Lt Sar or someone with a higher pay grade than we all seem to have," Kevan said. "Keep an eye out for any other clones, yeah?"
“Ha, no promises,” Finnley replied as she dug herself into the panel for repairs. She bit her lip in concentration, working to fix the computer core. The damage was extensive enough that she had to reroute some systems and put crude patches in place, but it would work. “Try the main display now. Do you see any other issues?” She asked Reed.
The wall display flickered on and... still flickered intermittently. In mild frustration, Reed made a fist and bumped the screen with the side of it. To his surprise the screen corrected itself and looked as it normally should. "Hey, not bad Keating!" He beamed with satisfaction at her legs as they lay poking out of the bulkhead.
Finnley pulled herself back into the open and smiled. "Perfect. I'm going to get back to engineering then. Next time you call me all the way down here to fix a display, I'll expect one of those drinks as payment," she said with a smirk. She then grabbed her repair kit and wished Reed good luck with the analysis as she exited to the hallway.
