The air on the bridge was palpable with nerves as the deathly image of Locutus of Borg loomed over the crew of the Icarus. Tobin could feel the cold sweat of nerves on his brow and his hands tremble at the conn. Captain hastings stepped forward and placed a weathered hand firmly on Tobins shoulder to reassure him. Taking a deep breathe Tobin settled his nerves and steadied his cold clammy hands as the words echoed in his ears. 'Lower your shields and surrender your vessels, your culture will adapt to service us'.

Captain hastings scoffed and ran a hand through his silver hair. "I don't think so!" He exclaimed to his crew. "Tobin prepare for attack pattern alpha, Emira arm all weapons lets see what this new weapons pod can do." He ordered in his gruff midwest accent.

Tobin went to his work but out of nowhere the ship shook hard and the bridge filled with intense green flames. Flung from his seat Tobin crashed against the bulkhead. His heart racing his eyes darted around looking for his ship mates, but it was too late pale faced and covered in dark metallic implants they were already looking for him! Recoiling into the corner he could feel a cold hand squeeze his throat. Captain Hastings white assimilated hand had him.

"Tobin!" Called out an urgent feminine voice. He looked around but all he could see was Borg everywhere. The ship began to shake violently. "Tobin!" The voice called again more urgently. Another sudden jolt bought Tobins world began crashing away piece by piece and a strange falling feeling took over as he sat bolt upright in bed.

Breathing heavily he grabbed the mattress hard. He could feel the sheets cold and soaked in sweat as the warm Bajoran sun filtered through the heavy silvery curtains of the room he shared with his wife Nicola who lay next to him, a warm sympathetic look on her face as she calmly stroked his back.

"The Borg again?" She asked sweetly stroking her fingers gently up and down his back. Tobin could only nod gazing deep into his wife's dark and reassuring eyes. "Your dream or Parrs?" She asked sidling up to Tobin snuggling up to his chest and planting a kiss lightly on his cheek. "I'm not entirely sure, these days they all seem to role into one." He replied stroking her long, dark and curly hair. All Tobin wanted to do was lay back with his wife, sinking back down into the bed his heart skipped as the computer terminal across the room chirped loudly. *Lt. Commander Parr, incoming communication from StarFleet Command* Sighing He buried his head against Nicolas chest. "Go away!" His muffled reply called out across the room.

Nicola chuckled and stroked his back. *unable to comply, transmission has a priority status* came the mechanical voice of the computer. "Urgh!" He moaned pulling a pillow securely over his head. "Go!" Nicola chuckled pushing him off her chest and rolling him out of the bed. "Okay, okay." He exclaimed picking a dark blue robe up off the black leather chair in front of his desk. "I'm up!" He exclaimed whilst tightly securing his robe. Tobin sat at his desk and tapped the standard issue terminal hard.

"Computer open channel authorisation Parr nine one gamma echo." He said clearly.

Relaxing in the chair the stark blue UFP logo was replaced by the image of a Human woman in an Admirals uniform. She smiled warmly and rested her hands on her own desk with her fingers interlocked.

"Did I wake you Commander?" She asked pleasantly noting Tobins current appearance. He smirked. "Not exactly Admiral." He replied warmly. "Did you forget the time difference between Earth and Bajor again?" He asked resting his own hands on the desk. "Not exactly commander." She replied with a Chuckle.

"Its good to see you again Tobin, hows Nicola and Jessica?" She asked warmly. "All good, Nicolas here if you want to say hi?" He remarked as his wife rolled in the bed to face the monitor lazily she waved an arm in the air. "Hi Jenny!" She yawned. Tobin smiled as the Admiral on screen waved briefly and then almost immediately regained her posture.

"So Jenny, I'm guessing this isn't just a catch up?" Tobin asked warmly, stretching out in the chair. The Admiral shook her head. "New assignment for you." She said promptly reaching for a PADD she thumbed it hard and read from the screen. "Lt Commander Tobin Parr you are hereby reassigned to the position of Executive Officer aboard the USS Athena effective immediately, signed Rear Admiral Jennifer Monroe StarFleet Command." The Admiral rested the PADD down with a clatter. "Congratulations Tobin and welcome back." She beamed. "Further orders will follow, but I understand the work crews at Starbase 50 are eager to get the command crew aboard you may want to get packing." She added.

Tobin nodded as he glanced towards Nicola who was pretending to pout. He blew her a kiss and turned back to the screen. "I'll make the necessary arrangements right away Jenny and thank you." He said warmly. "Not at all Tobin, happy to help a friend." As she spoke a red uniformed vulcan came into view and whispered in her ear. "I'll have to cut this short Commander, good luck with your new assignment, Monroe out." She stated.

The screen switched straight back to the UFP logo bathing Tobins face in a harsh blue light. Tobin rubbed his face and stretched. "Darling I may need a hand to pack!" He said with a smile.
