| Physical Description | Henry would describe himself as forgettable though others might disagree. The first thing most people notice is his head of unkempt, curly, auburn hair. No matter what he tries to do with it, it seems to have a life of its own. Though not overly muscly, he has the physique of someone who watches what they eat and spends some time in the gym, even though he never does. He despises the heat and tends to burn quite easily, mostly due to his Irish roots. |

| General Overview | Henry is a pretty straight-laced guy, in fact, some people have often described him as boring. He likes to think before he acts, weighing his options and planning out what he believes to be the right course of action. He doesn’t like confrontation and will try to avoid it if and when he can. Henry can get so wrapped up in his work and duties he often has to be encouraged to look up, once in a while, and not let life pass him by. He is organised and likes things to make sense, almost in a strict logical fashion. He can be shy and quiet, especially in large groups, and will sometimes overthink things until he is reminded that spontaneity is a good thing, especially by CJ. | |

| Personal History | Henry grew up in Tycho City on the moon, where the nights were long and the days were short. As an only child to a single parent, he spent a lot of time entertaining himself and grew to enjoy his own company. As a boy, he was much more interested in finding ways to challenge his mind, than he was in physical activities like the other children. Henry loved to read old earth classics under a blanket and had an aptitude for mathematics and the sciences. This isolated him from other kids his own age and he much preferred the maturity of older ones. It helped that he was able to keep up with them mentally even though his mother worried about his emotional development. His mother eventually stopped trying to get him to like the things she thought he ought to like at his age and accepted that her son was different from everyone else. She allowed him to go on special field trips that pushed his mind in the fields of science and maths and it was during this time that he really excelled, especially in school. Whereas everyone was convinced he was destined to be a scientist or doctor, Henry found a passion for engineering and starship operations. There was something about finding, analysing, and solving a problem on a large scale that really spoke to him, and he ran with it. After finishing regular school in 2386, Henry took an apprenticeship at the Daystrom Institute, working in their new technology department after the previous one on Mars was destroyed. He finally found his people and thought that he would make a career there. However, he couldn’t shake the feeling that the universe had more mysteries to be solved than what was available to him, and to the surprise of everyone, decided to join Starfleet. For someone who hated taking risks, this was a bit of a change and one that he wanted to start straight away before he changed his mind. He didn’t want to wait the full four years it would take to attend Starfleet Academy, so decided to attend the Starfleet Technical Services Academy and completed his training inside of a year. It was on his first posting that he met and fell in love with Charlie. |
