At one time Marcus was a professor teaching at a well-known university on Betazed. Debating with students and other tutors alike, he was known to dip into fiery rhetoric on the lessons of history - particularly the failings of Starfleet dating back to the original wars with the Klingon Empire.
It was on Betazed that he met a young woman named Hearro Kea, who inspired him to read into the politics and viewpoint of the Sons of Cheron political group. Several months later, Marcus Blake left the university quite suddenly. Few people have seen or heard from him since but there are strong rumours indicating that he has returned to a circuit of public appearances on Earth, Andor and Tellar most recently.
