General Overview		Eddie didn't start out wanting to work in medicine, having majored in law and having planned to do into politics. However, while undertaking a work experience placement on Utopia Planetia, he witnessed firsthand the horror of the disaster that struck there and participated in disaster relief efforts. This led to him falling into a totally new career path devoted to helping people. Without much of an opportunity to pick up medicine in a serious way, he elected to go into nursing and patient support instead. With a brother in Starfleet, it made sense for him to join up and venture out into the stars to work alongside those he had helped following the shipyard's destruction.
